Hand holding a tray of colorful rocks painted as fruits and veggies on a gravel background, evoking a playful and creative mood. DIY, easy toddler activity

I'm always on a mission to create fun toys and games for my babies. We are currently finishing our yard so without grass to run on, I've had to get creative with ways to occupy them in the driveway and garage. As my husband was bringing in fill to level out our yard before planting grass, I noticed some bricks in the dirt he was using. I snatched them up and gave them a good wash and painted them into buildings for my toddler to use in his sand box! I also grabbed a handful of rocks and painted them into various foods. Next on my list is a mud kitchen! These are such simple DIYs that bring lots of fun to the summer months.

SUPPLIES

- Bricks, rocks, wood, etc.

- Acrylic paint or acrylic markers

- Acrylic sealer (I used modge podge)
